TV motor shows - Top Gear critique
An introduction to the seminal TV motoring show Top Gear.
A look at the TV show Top Gear.

Top Gear began life in 1977 as a factual magazine programme featuring a diverse range of presenters, a few of which went on to front the Channel 5 TV show 'Fifth Gear'. In 2002 Top Gear underwent a revamp in order to be based in a studio whilst focusing more heavily on the program's particularly unique humour and the relationship between presenters James May, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond. A staple of the show is the unusual tests they carry out on vehicles, such as the episode where Top Gear reviewed the Toyota Hilux. Trials included smashing the car into a tree and smashing it with a wrecking ball. Top Gear is a must see for any motoring fanatic.
